Thanks to Instagram, I have become obsessed with smoothie bowls. They look so darn pretty!
Some look like the ocean, some like unicorns and rainbows…all my favourite things!
But you gotta be careful of these beautiful bowls. They may seem healthy and contain healthy ingrediants and superfoods, they can be high in fat and sugar…and those Insta-portions will make you fat- always share.That’s actually what my sis and I do when we order a smoothie bowl from Nu.
This is what happens on a Saturday morning in my home…I make smoothie bowls and it literally awaits Pappa bear, Mamma Bear and Baby Bear – you know how the story goes, we go for a walk in woods (the complex), luckily we haven’t had a naughty Goldilocks eating from our bowls…she’d be disappointed – ‘cos they’re all cold!’
I made my smoothies with 2 cups of low-fat yoghurt, 2 cups of blueberries, 2 tablespoons of oats,1 scoop of whey protein (or a banana) and topped it with cranberries, kiwi, almonds, sugar-free granola and chia seeds. Remember this serves 3.
it is super easy to make, delicious like you won’t believe and keeps you satisfied for hours.
You can have it at any time of the day! It’s like having dessert for breakfast!
