I’M NO MORNING PERSON BUT I WAS GRINDING AT 5H15

Why I HAD to choose to become a morning person.
When I started my weightloss journey 14 months ago, a 5am workout sounded like a pure punishable sin and curse to my ears🙉
The 1st day, my alarm went off at 4, I hit the snooze button, out of habit…then I realised, this was not just my 1st ever 5am workout that I was about to do but also my first day of breaking habits that no longer serve me.
It took me a few weeks to get the swing of it…it was hard- some mornings I even hit the snooze button, cried myself back to sleep and jumped up again, fighting the lazy. I’d repeat this usually 3 times between 4am and 4h40 when I realised the game is finished, time to go- and it’s my own fault going to class without eyebrows
What I started loving about early morning workouts were: A) starting the day on a positive note – making me feel like I can take on any challenge that comes my way B) I felt more energetic during the day and not get that 3pm slump C) most important one for me was, because this wasn’t the easiest thing for me to do- whenever temptations like cocktails and cakes and pizzas flung my way, the first thought that came to mind was: “verby my- I worked way to hard- not worth it”
So yeah, I listen to alot of people telling me ‘but I’m not a morning person’ …that’s perfect- it will be to your advantage, believe me. I wasn’t a morning person either- I don’t think I’m one now- you just have to keep in mind why you’re doing it. Btw…when did we decide that we are going to be morning or evening people❓❓
There’s also another bonus to an early morning workout- you have more time to enjoy your day AND you dont have to make up excuses for not feeling like exercising later tonight.
When it’s done it’s done!

Tip: Set your alarm for 4h15 AND DO NOT PRESS THE SNOOZE BUTTON. Get up. Get dressed. Get going. Don’t create opportunities for negotiations with yourself.
Next time the lazy you want to argue with you just say: “You’ll thank me later” 😝
