I WAS A SUCKER FOR ‘SUGAR-FREE AND FAT-FREE’ LABELS

This morning I mentioned how I gained 3 kgs last month being under the impression that I was eating within my daily calorie allowance…I learnt the hard way- don’t be fooled by snacks labelled ‘low calorie’ or ‘high protein’. I was on the road most of the time last month, so I stocked up on these veggie crisps and protein bars…what I actually stuffed myself with was bad carbs, fats and sugar. After a weekend of feeling bloated and moody (I don’t do moody) I immediately tossed them and started prepping my snacks …just like one should…trial and error – that’s life- we learn everyday – I don’t have it all figured out, but I learn something new each day and want to share it with you! Best to make your own yummeee clean snacks and know exactly what you’re eating. So, you will see me posting clean healthy snacks and meals from time to time.
I am crazy about these salad jars because you can literally just screw on the lids and be on your merry way. I am all for time-saving and convenience and since I usually make my jars the previous nigh along with my daughter’s lunchbox, I have an extra 20 minutes to spare.

And no, I do not spend my extra 20 minutes on meditations and working out…in a perfect world- yes. In my world, I jump back into bed and torture myself with an extra 20-minute snooze (which feels 20 seconds) 😊
